On December 6th the Shipbuilders’ Square was transformed into a winter wonderland. A group of corporate trees were decorated spectacularly to showcase for charity. The City of North Vancouver had Mayor Darrell Mussato lightning up the city’s beautiful tree to a huge crowd of the community. There was a skating rink, many craft activities including decorating ginger bread men (kindly sponsored by North Vancouver Rotary Club), making of Christmas decorations and North Vancouver Archives and Museum Lantern Making. A special thank you goes out to Neptune Terminals and Bean Around the World Coffee at Lonsdale Quay for donating and distributing free Hot Chocolate and Coffee. Other highlights were the Silver Harbour Centre Choir, Perform Art Studios who surprised us all with a flashmob, Carol Ships and Yacht Club sail-by and of course Santa Claus.

A good time was had by all.
